Summary of today's majlis. 16th August Islahi majlis Dhikr
We should remember Allah SWT constantly. When a person is engaged to be married, then the person thinks about his/her spouse to be constantly. In the same way a mumin should be constantly thinking about Allah.
When Hadhrat Yunus AS was swallowed by a whale, the first thing he did was dhikr. According to different situations there is different dhikr, for example when one is ill there is a separate dhikr. So he did dhikr according to his situation too. Allah states in the Quran: "And (remember) Dhun-Nun (Jonah), when he went off in anger, and imagined that We shall not punish him. But he cried through the darkness (saying): La ilaha illa Anta [none has the right to be worshipped but You (O, Allah)], Glorified and Exalted be You! Truly, I have been of the wrong-doers." He was humble and thought: "Everything that has happened has happened is due to my misconduct "
لَّا إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا أَنتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ Whoever prays this when he has any sadness or difficulty, his difficulty will be removed or he will be given contentment. “When any Muslim makes dua with these words during his illness 40 times and then, if he dies of that disease, he is granted the reward of a martyr and if he recovers from that disease, then all his sins are forgiven.” Why don't we recite it 40 times daily. We can even do this dhikr on our hands. “I heard Prophet SAW Saying: Should I not inform you of Allah’s Greatest Name (Isme Azam) when dua is invoked with it, it is accepted and what is asked for thought it is given? This is the supplication through which Yunus AS called Allah from within the darkness. La ilaha illa anta,Subhanaka,Inni kuntu minaz-zalimin (There is no god but You, You are exalted I was indeed the wrongdoer). A man asked: O Rasulullah, Is this dua special for Yunus AS or for all the believers? Prophet SAW said: Have you not heard the words of Allah (in the Quran):”And We delivered Yunus(AS) of his distress, thus We grant deliverance to all believers[Quran]”.
اللهم بارك لى في الموت وفيما بعد الموت Whoever recites this 25 times will be given the status of a martyr.
"O Allah you are kareem and your prophet saw is also kareem. We are in between two kareem"
If you are in the state of dhikr daaimi (constantly in dhikr) then you will be content.
If you do dhikr, then you will see that there will be ease even in any difficulty.
Hadhrat Thanwi RA says that when people would ask Hadhrat Gangohi RA any questions, he would reply and then constantly continue reciting durood Ibrahim. This was his daily habit.
