Summary of today’s majlis 15 March 2018 Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah ra said that the prophet ﷺ said, I swear by the one whose hand my soul is in, there will a come a time that you cannot see me here (in front of you). The pious people sometimes see the prophet ﷺ in their dreams. Some ulama even see the prophet ﷺ in an awakened state but this is a special situation. For example there was a great shaykh who was a lover of the prophet ﷺ. He never relieved himself inside Madina Munawwarah. He would go out of the city to do so. He would eat and drink such an amount that he would not need to relieve himself. He would never even wear shoes in Madinah Munawwarah. When it was very hot he would try fabric to his feet so they would not burn. This is a special situation, we cannot all do this. He had a different status. He said there was not any night that he would not see Rasullullah ﷺ in his dream. He even saw the prophet ﷺ when he was in an awakened state. But this is a special situation. No matter how much we try we cannot reach the status of the sahaba. The prophet ﷺ said that between the spending of the size of the mountain of uhud in gold in charity and half a pound in weight of a sahabas charity, the sahabas charity would be worth more because of the weight of their action. They saw every act of the prophet ﷺ. Some sahabas would return home, unable to sleep, waiting for the time when they can see the prophet ﷺ again. So the prophet ﷺ said, there will be a time when you will not be able to see prophet ﷺ until you die. There will be a people who would offer their wealth and family just to see the prophet ﷺ. One sahaba ra went home after the morning salah and returned to the masjid. He stayed home for a short while and returned back to the masjid. He just kept on doing this until eisha salah. So the prophet ﷺ asked him why he was doing this. He said when we sit with you o Rasullullah ﷺ we have a heart full of nur and when we return it is in a different state. He said i am worrying what we will do at the time when you are not here. A sahaba became a Muslim and he would drink alcohol. The sahaba would say doesn’t he have any shame. The prophet ﷺ said don’t think bad of him because he loves the prophet ﷺ. When we say the kalimah we should love the prophet ﷺ too. When we depart Madinah Munawwarah we should leave upset crying. If someone returns to their parents who are far away they cry when departing. Sometimes if we make dua the thing we ask for may not be good for us, so we don’t get it. For example when a doctor tells a child not to eat sweets because it’s bad for them, then the child may be upset. When Hadhrat maulana Qasim Nanotwi ra saw the green dome upon reaching Madina Munawwarah he got off his camel and started walking with bare feet on the rocks wanting to reach the masjid as soon as possible. When people saw his feet they saw they were bleeding as he was walking on rough stone. Of course we are weak compared to this! The least that should happen when we see the green dome is we should have tears in our eyes. This will happen when on the way to Madina Munawwarah we should just recite durood constantly. If you don’t understand something you should ask. Don’t just make up the meaning or misunderstand. Hadhrat Thanwi ra says that if we have the love for the prophet ﷺ, then InshaAllah we have hope that Allah ﷻ will take us to Jannah with ease. We should constantly recite durood. May Allah give us tawfiq and give us live for Him ﷻ and the prophet ﷺ. www.kalimatalhikmah.co.uk
