8 December 2019 Hadhrat Maulana Adam Sahib Hafizahullah Abu Hurairah ra narrated that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “Look at those who are beneath you and do not look at those who are above you, for it is more suitable that you should not consider as less the blessing of Allah.” In this hadith Rasullullah ﷺ has mentioned a cure to remove many types of worldly troubles. Those troubles due to which people are in worry for many many years. To remove worldly troubles we should follow this hadith. Rasullullah ﷺ’s speech was concise, yet comprehensive and full of meaning. Most people you ask wont be content with their money. They keep thinking they have nothing, whereas everyday they are able to eat till they’re full. This is how people’s life pass so quickly too because they are concentrating on their money and the time passes by. We should look at those that have less than us. But remember they are not lower than us. Shaikh Saadi ra said that he was given a lot of knowledge. But once he didn’t even have enough money to buy shoes. So once he had a waswasah that I have been given all this knowledge but i don’t have enough money to buy shoes. Whilst he was walking he saw a man who had no feet and he straight away asked for forgiveness from Allah ﷻ for being ungrateful and prostrated to Allah ﷻ. No matter how much money you get you will always want more if you are concentrating on the money and worldly things. If you have £1000 you will want £10000, if you have £10000 you will want £100000. You wont be content but contentment is what you want most in life. The whole day and night you will be thinking how can i have more money like so -and- so. So if we look at those who have less than us we will be thankful, grateful and content. The speech of rasullullah ﷺ was so great. Allah ﷻ had created him in such a way that everything he said was nur. مطلق آن آواز خود از شه بود گرچه از حلقوم عبدالله بود Even if the words are coming from Rasullullah ﷺ, the words are from Allah ﷻ. - rumi ra Just like a tape recorder (that was used before) the voice is of someone else that is being played. The whole body of Rasullullah ﷺ has been blessed by Allah ﷻ. His body parts have been mentioned in the quran. For example فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ And أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ Once a sahaba mentioned his poverty and illness to Rasullullah ﷺ. Rasullullah ﷺ told him to pray: تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى الْحَيِّ الَّذِيْ لَا يَمُوْت الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي لَمْ يَتَّخِذْ وَلَدًا وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ شَرِيكٌ فِي الْمُلْكِ وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ وَلِيٌّ مِّنَ الذُّلِّ ۖ وَكَبِّرْهُ تَكْبِيرًا And he came back after a while and said he had been praying what was recommended and he had recovered. Imagine the status of the sahaba who held Rasullullah ﷺ’s blessed hand? Or whose head his blessed hand touched? Don’t look at those who have less than you and think low of them or be happy that they are going through difficulties. But be appreciative of what you have. Don’t be jealous of people who have money.
