Abu Usayd Radiyallahu 'Anhu says. "Rasululah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam said: 'Use olive oil in eating and for rubbing (on the body), for it is from a mubaarak (blessed) tree"'
The prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said that olive oil is blessed and it is a cure of many diseases. It is the cure for leprosy and many other illnesses. Abu Nu'aym ra says: 'It has a cure for seventy diseases of which one is leprosy'. Sayyidina Ibn 'Abbaas Radiyallahu 'Anhu says: 'Every part of the olive is beneficial. The oil is used for burning and cooking. It is also used for tanning. It is especially good for washing silk'. It is said that the olive tree has a long life. It bears fruit after forty years and has a life span of a thousand years. It's numerous benefits are mentioned in the books of tibb.
Abdullah Ibn Abbas RA says that there is benefit in every part of the olive tree. The tree itself, the branches, the actual olive, the leaves etc
There is amazing benefits from it.
Some people keep it on the dinner table to pour over their food daily.
We should also drink it, for the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has recommended it, and it is a cure for many diseases.
Many illnesses that aren't cured easily can be cured with olive oil.
We should drink it, put it in our food, rub it over our body and hair, simply because the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam recommended it.
Keep it at home because of this, in the same way that you keep vinegar.
The prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam also loved the gourd. The doctors have said that if one has any stomach problems a curry should be made from gourd and it should be eaten for a few days with bread or rice and insha'Allah he will be cured
May Allah give us the tawfiq to imitate the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and love him.
