Some points from Hadhrat Maulana Adam Sahib Hafizahullah’s advice for those proceeding for hajj: - Everyone visiting Haramain Sharifain are the guests of the Prophet ﷺ . Remember this and be good mannered towards others. - Don’t give difficulty to others. Help others as much as you can. If someone is poor or weak, ill or injured, help them. - There will be men and women from all over the world in Haramain Sharifain; some not fully covered, some wearing fancy clothes. Make sure you keep your gaze down. Control your desires at that time. If by mistake your gaze falls on the opposite gender, turn away and do not look again. - From the mannerisms of visiting Haramain Sharifain, is to stay away from sins. Ask Allah ﷻ for protection from sins. - If any man doesn’t have a beard, he should try to keep one at least at this time, as you are going to visit the grave of the prophet ﷺ . We want the prophet ﷺ’s gaze of compassion on us. - Remember Allah ﷻ knows whatever is in our hearts. - If you are not performing your five daily prayers, at least start before you leave for hajj. - Start practicing now. Stay away from bud nazri [looking at the opposite gender] from now. - When leaving for Hajj, you should be leaving in a state that you have already made these changes or intentions. - A point to remember: One can achieve Hajj Maqbool, Mabroor when all efforts are taken to refrain from sins. There is no power in staying away from sins and no might in doing good except from Allah ﷻ. Ask Allah ﷻ for help. May Allah ﷻ make our Hajj Maqbool and Mabroor. May Allah ﷻ fully protect us from committing any sins whilst we are in Haramain Sharafain. www.kalimatalhikmah.co.uk
