Allamah Shah Anwar Kashmiri رَحِمَهُ الله had a very high status and was very intelligent. Once Allamah Shah Anwar Kashmiri رَحِمَهُ الله was waiting at the train station for a train and a non-muslim passing by said “the belief this person is on has to be the truth. This can’t be the face of a liar” and accepted Islam. He wrote a poem in Arabic in praise of the prophet ﷺ that is widely accepted and respected so much that many have kept it as part of their daily ma’mool (habit) to recite it. One of the benefits of reciting it daily is that the love for the prophet ﷺ will grow in your heart. The more you remember and mention him ﷺ the more the love for him ﷺ will grow in your heart. شَفِيْعٌ مُّطَاعٌ نَبِيٌّ كَرِيْمٌ قَسِيْمٌ جَسِيْمٌ بَسِيْمٌ وَسِيْمٌ شَفِيْعٌ The prophet ﷺ is the one who will intercede for us. On the day of judgement the prophet ﷺ will intercede for us when we will be standing in the immense heat and waiting for the judgement day to start. People will be so desperate for the judgement to start that they will go to the all the ambiya but all the ambiya will make excuses and will say find the last Nabi ﷺ and ask him. When the people find him ﷺ and ask him, he won’t present any excuses. The power and might of Allah ﷻ will be apparent to us. May Allah ﷻ save us. Just like it is mentioned in the ayah below that the prophet ﷺ is anxious for us. لَقَدْ جَاءَكُمْ رَسُولٌ مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ عَزِيزٌ عَلَيْهِ مَا عَنِتُّمْ حَرِيصٌ عَلَيْكُم بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَءُوفٌ رَّحِيمٌ Verily, there has come unto you a Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) from amongst yourselves (i.e. whom you know well). It grieves him that you should receive any injury or difficulty. He (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) is anxious over you (to be rightly guided, to repent to Allah, and beg Him to pardon and forgive your sins in order that you may enter Paradise and be saved from the punishment of the Hell-fire); for the believers (he صلى الله عليه وسلم is) full of pity, kind, and merciful. [9:128] The prophet ﷺ will be ready to intercede (in the intense heat and time of pressure and anxiety). He will fall into sajdah to Allah ﷻ. Allah ﷻ will have mercy and say سَلْ -“ask from Me”. And during this sajdah the prophet ﷺ will praise Allah ﷻ in such a way that no one will have done before. The prophet ﷺ says himself that he does not know what he will say at this time, but he ﷺ will praise Allah ﷻ in such a way that Allah ﷻ’s mercy will be activated. And He will tell the prophet ﷺ to ask. And then the judgement day will start. This is the greater intercession. Apart from this he will intercede for many millions of people to be forgiven, but with Imaan as the condition. مُّطَاعٌ The prophet ﷺ is such that the people that follow him, follow him with full choice and dedication and without anxiety. There may be difficulties on this path, but for his followers aren’t felt as difficulties. نَبِيٌّ كَرِيْمٌ The prophet ﷺ is a noble prophet. قَسِيْمٌ The prophet ﷺ was beautiful in his heart and in his appearance. The prophet ﷺ was very beautiful and there are many ahadith from various sahaba narrating his intense beauty. One sahabi mentions in a hadith that one night, when the moon was full (Badr), he kept on looking at the moon and then at the blessed face of the prophet ﷺ and he kept on comparing them. He said he was asking himself: what was more beautiful? The blessed face of the prophet ﷺ or the moon. He came to the definite conclusion that the moon wasn’t more beautiful than the blessed face of the prophet ﷺ. In a narration Sayyiduna Aisha ra mentions that she was sewing and lost her needle. When the prophet ﷺ returned, by the nur (light) from his face she was able to find her needle straight away. He ﷺ was so beautiful that there is no example of this that we can compare his beauty to. There were so many people that accepted Islam just be looking at his blessed face. جَسِيْمٌ The prophet ﷺ has a perfect height. He was of moderate height, neither too tall or too short. It is a sin to laugh at anyone’s height if they are short or tall. A person’s height is from Allah ﷻ. بَسِيْمٌ The prophet ﷺ always had a happy face. He would never show displeasure on his face, unless it was to do with the deen. One sahabi says that since I accept Islam until the prophet ﷺ passed away, I always saw the prophet ﷺ smiling. وَسِيْمٌ The prophet ﷺ also had a beautiful face. His blessed hair was not completely straight, it had a slight curve to it which made it naturally beautiful. It was neither very curly. His hair was either: until his blessed earlobes, until his blessed neck or his blessed shoulder. Once the prophet pbuh said to Sayyidatuna Aisha RA “ya Aish” (in short for her name), I know when you are happy with me or not. When you are not you say “by the Lord of Ibrahim” and when you are happy you say “by the Lord of Muhammad”. Sayyidatuna Aisha ra replied “on my tongue I may say “Lord of Ibrahim” but in my heart it is always “Lord of Muhammad”. Even if we are give a little of this love we will be successful. In some durood it is mentioned: اللّٰهُمَّ ارْزُقْنِيْ مَحَبَّتَهُ ﷺ O Allah! Grant me love for the prophet ﷺ. And if we cannot learn the Arabic, we can also ask in our language. اللهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُقْبِلاً عَلَيْنَا وَلا تَجْعَلْهُ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَاضِباً عَلَيْنَا O Allah! Make the prophet ﷺ happy with us and let him ﷺ not be upset with us. With this love for the prophet ﷺ InshaAllah we will go far along with all our other ibadah.
