Short summary of Hadhrat Maulana Adam Sahib db’s talk after asr salah The sadness on the passing of Hadhrat Maulana Yusuf Motala Sahib ra If a person passes away all of a sudden the family and people who are close to the person are shocked. This creates more sadness than if they fall ill and then pass away. Like Hadhrat Yusuf Motala Sahib RA, he was ill in hospital and then passed away. If he passed away suddenly it may have been a shock for the people around him and they could have had long lasting effects from it. Allah ﷻ had predestined that he passes away on Monday on the 10th of muharram. On this day, 10th Muharram, even Hadhrat Hussain ra passed away. Imagine how the sahaba must have felt the sadness when rasullullah ﷺ passed away. How must they have endured the sadness. The leader of all prophets and messengers. The sahaba would see him ﷺ and their heart would be consoled. That is why Sayyiduna Umar ra was in a state of such extreme sadness with his sword. Even though the sadness of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr ra was great, he came and told Sayyiduna Umar ra to sit down and he sat down listening like a child because he was in such sadness. We should give sadaqa and think that the reward should go to the family of the prophet and Hadhrat. Sayyiduna Hussain ra was martyred in such an extreme way. How upset would his grandfather ﷺ have been on hearing it. Imagine if someone would do that our children. How sad would we feel. We think that this happened after the passing of rasullullah ﷺ but he was told what would happen to Hadhrat Hussain ra. Hadhrat Maulana Adam sahib db was thinking all day, how had the sahabas felt when rasullullah ﷺ passed away. One sahabi said salam to another sahabi but didn’t receive a reply. So he went to complain to Sayyiduna Abu Bakr ra. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr ra asked the sahabi, ‘why didn’t you reply to your brothers salam?’ He replied that he didn’t even hear the salam, as he was thinking of the sadness of the passing away of Rasullullah ﷺ. This is how much it affected them. We have to remember even we have to go through this path. No matter what we do. No matter how much we eat. No matter how much we earn. There is only one path. We will pass away too. Keep thinking that we have to also leave this world no matter what we do. In surah yaseen the ayah says: قِيلَ ادْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ ۖ قَالَ يَا لَيْتَ قَوْمِي يَعْلَمُونَ (26) بِمَا غَفَرَ لِي رَبِّي وَجَعَلَنِي مِنَ الْمُكْرَمِينَ (27) It was said, "Enter Paradise." He said, "I wish my people could know, Of how my Lord has forgiven me and placed me among the honored." When a person enters paradise and sees the bounties they will want to tell their loved ones in the world so that they can come too and follow this path.
