Hadhrat Maulana Adam Sahib Hafizahullah
Jabir ra narrates that Rasullullah ﷺ visited our house and we slaughtered a goat for him. Rasullullah ﷺ said that it is as though the people of the house know that he ﷺ likes goat.
Rasullullah ﷺ went to their house to eat and then praised the food. From this we learn that if we go to someone’s house to eat we should say something good about the food to make them happy. It should be a truthful thing not a lie. Taking fault out of food is not allowed.
In the battle of khandaq, hadhrat Jabir bin abdullah saw that Rasullullah ﷺ had some signs of hunger so he invited him ﷺ to his house. Other sahaba have narrated that at other times Rasullullah ﷺ had signs of hunger i.e a stone tied to his stomach etc. So Hadhrat jabir ra went to his house to ask if there was any food. He was told that there is a baby goat and some flour for bread. So he slaughtered the goat and some bread was made. He went and invited Rasullullah ﷺ and said to bring his companions with him.
When Rasullullah ﷺ came, he had brought the entire group of companions with him. Hadhrat Jabir ra told his wife that there are so many people, how are we going to feed them? His pious wife told him Rasullullah ﷺ brought them, so you don’t need to worry. There was probably a reason for him to invite them all.
Rasullullah ﷺ told Hadhrat Jabir ra to keep the pot on the cooker until he came and make the bread when he arrives. When Rasullullah ﷺ came he prayed on it from which there was a lot of barakah in the food. There were thousands of people and the bread was made and there was enough for everyone. The sahaba who were present say that thousands of sahaba ate to their full.
وَمَا يَنطِقُ عَنِ الْهَوَىٰ
إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحْيٌ يُوحَىٰ
he does not speak from [his own] inclination.
It is not but a revelation revealed,[53:3/4]
Maulana rumi ra says:
گفتہء او گفتہء الله بود
گرچہ از حلقوم عبدالله بود
Whatever Rasullullah ﷺ words are from Allah ﷻ even if the words came from the voice of the servant of Allah ﷻ.
Some pious people were given this blessing of barakah too. Once in Deoband there was a lot of people so Hadhrat Haji Imdadullah ra gave the cooks a cloth to cover the food and said don’t take it off until everyone finishes eating and it was enough for many people.
Whatever karamaat the awliya have done is from Rasullullah ﷺ.
Remember that without following Rasullullah ﷺ we are not going to be successful.
خلاف پیمبر کسے رہ گزید کہ ہرگز بمنزل نخواہد رسید
(جس نے پیغمبر کے راستے سے انحراف کیا وہ ہرگز اپنی منزل کو نہیں پائیگا).
If one goes against the way of the prophet ﷺ, you will not reach any kind of status in the eyes of Allah ﷻ.
Sometimes if you have eaten some tasty food in the past and you remember it then your mouth starts watering. When you have seen a pious person in the past and you remember the moment then your eyes start watering. This is why sometimes Hadhrat mentions the pious people he has seen and met.
The love for Allah ﷻ and the love for Rasullullah ﷺ will take you very far. If you have any problems or hard situations you wont even feel it.
Follow the sunnan everyday. And together with that recite durood.
You will receive the benefits of this in this world and the hereafter.
We should pray:
اللهم إنَّا نَعُوْذُ بِكَ مِنَ الطَّعْنِ، وَالطَّاعُوْن
To save us from illnesses.
May Allah give us the tawfiq to act upon what has been said
