Regarding the opening of masajid
Today’s majlis will discuss a very important matter that is also part of the shariah. From today midnight we have been given permission to open masajid for private worhsip.
We should think carefully.
Our shariah encourages us to take (اسباب) means.
This is also proven in the quran. When Sayyiduna Yusuf‘s as brothers were travelling to Egypt his father advised that all the brothers should enter from separate gates. This is because they were all very handsome and the nazr of people will be towards them. Otherwise people will start talking about them and jealousy may be created in people’s hearts. He had planned ahead and taken precautions by advising them to enter theough different gates.
We learn from this occurrence that we have to take precautions and plan ahead.
We shouldn’t try to become so great all of a sudden. We should follow the wali of Allah ﷻ, the sahaba and anbiya.
Rasullullah ﷺ, the leader of mankind, once was staying with two other sahaba. They would milk a goat, split the milk in three bowls and drink one bowl each. Once Rasullullah ﷺ was attending to some matter with another sahabi and hadn’t returned yet. It was late. So the sahabi, who was still a bit hungry, started having doubts. He thought if Rasullullah ﷺ was at someone else’s house he may eat and then return home. After a while he drank Rasullullah ﷺ’s share of milk.
After drinking it he started worrying and regretted drinking the milk thinking ‘what about when Rasullullah ﷺ returns? Will he ﷺ be disappointed?’
He couldn’t sleep so he pretended to sleep under his blanket.
In this time Rasullullah ﷺ returned and after praying he went to his bowl, which he found empty. He didn’t complain at all. He didn’t make dua that ‘o Allah send me some from the heavens’. If water came from his fingers (a miracle that occurred in his lifetime) then Allah ﷻ could have made milk come from his fingers to drink. Then Rasullullah ﷺ lifted his hands and made dua.
اللهم أطعم من أطعمني، واسق من سقاني
O Allah , feed the one who has fed me and drink to the one who has given me drink.
Upon hearing this, the sahabi stood up, he wanted to be the one to feed the Prophet ﷺ. He went to the goat and noticed even though the goat had been milked earlier, the udders were full. He milked the goat till the Prophet ﷺ drank to his fill, and the sahabi drank.
We learn from this that even though Rasullullah ﷺ was the leader of mankind he took the means to get the milk after making dua. He didn’t ask for it to be brought from the heavens. He asked for the means ‘اسباب’ of it.
Once a person went to a scholar complaining regarding his house being burgled. The scholar asked, ‘did you take precautions to make sure your house was safe?’ The man said he hadn’t. So the pious scholar said ‘you should have taken precautions as well as making dua’.
If someone kills someone else you can’t say that it was in his taqdeer so it’s not the murders fault. The world uses apparent factors to work too.
In this way we should take precautions in these unprecedented times.
Until the government doesn’t give us full permission we shouldn’t open the masajid fully. Otherwise if someone gets the virus then people will say it is because the masjid was open thats why.
Mufti taqi uthmani db says don’t become ’بہادر’ brave.
Don’t think that whatever happens will happen. Take precautions.
ليس للانسان الا ما سعى كو یاد رکھ ، کر توکل پھر تیری تدبیر ہی تقدیر ہے
If you follow the precautions then Allah ﷻ will give us reward in this too.
We should take the full precautions in opening the masajid.
We are such that we perform two rakaat of nafl salah and we check under the musala if there is some money from the heavens for us! We think we have become great. We should follow the way of Rasullullah ﷺ, the sahaba and the pious
Even our sustenance, we know that it is in our taqdeer so why do we go to work? Because we have to follow the means and have trust in Allah ﷻ too.
So in this same way we are following the means of stopping this virus by keeping the masajid closed.
May Allah ﷻ give us tawfiq to to do this.
If you are ill, we should still have medicine and medical treatment. Because we should take the means of healing and have full tawakkul (trust in Allah ﷻ). Allah ﷻ created the means too, he created the medicine. For example, if you have paracetamol, who made it? People made it. How did they make it? Using their intellect. Who created their intellect? Allah ﷻdid. So Allah ﷻ created the paracetamol too.
So in opening the masajid we should take precautions and use the means Allah ﷻ has given us (staying apart etc) and we should have full trust in Allah ﷻ.
We should pray
اَللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّد بِعَدَدِ كُلِّ دَاءٍ وَ دَوَاءٍ
O Allah! Send salutations upon Sayyiduna Muhammad ﷺ and the Family of Sayyiduna Muhammad ﷺ, according to the number of every illness and cure.
Hadhrat had originally thought that he will come to the masjid despite the outbreak of coronavirus, but then he decided that what if someone else is in difficulty due to himself.
So until the full permission is given from the government the masjid will not be opened. The doctors and nurses are working so hard against this virus too.
Mufti Taqi Uthmani db said don’t try to be so brave that you just go to the masjid and pray and disregard all the advice. We should be careful.
May Allah ﷻ give us tawfiq to understand.
Some duas Hadhrat db made:
O Allah, we are your weak servants. Strengthen our iman.
O Allah make us understand that you have created all the means. You have created the cloud that cause rain. You have created the medicine that cures us.
This is why the ulama have advised to recite surah fatiha when taking medicine and blow on the medicine so that our belief is strengthened that the cure is from Allah.
O Allah give us the good of this world and the hereafter.
Make us able to worship you in our households with tranquility. Make us recite Quran, pray durood and recite istigfaar.
O Allah forgive our parents who have passed away.
O Allah give shifa to the ill whether they are muslim or not, in our country or another country
