وعنه قال أُتي النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بإناءٍ وهو بالزوراء، فوضع يده في الإناء، فجعل الماء ينبع من بينأصابعه، فتوضأ القوم، قال قتادة : قلت لأنس: كم كنتم؟ قال: ثلاثمائة، أو زهاء ثلاثمائة “. متفق عليه
Anas رضي الله عنه narrated that: A bowl of water was brought to the Prophet (ﷺ) while he was at Az-Zawra (a place in Madina Munawwarah). He placed his hand in it and the water started flowing among his fingers. All the people performed ablution (with that water). Qatada رضي الله عنه asked Anas رضي الله عنه, "How many people were you?" Anas رضي اللهعنه replied, "Three hundred or nearly three hundred.
Hadhrat mentions the speciality of Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim compared to other books of hadith. Hadhrat also mentions that when he visits Haramain, many people come to ask for the ijazah (authority to transmit hadith) because Hadhrat has the sanad from the student of Allamah Anwar Shah Kashmiri ؒ
The miracles of Rasullullah ﷺ are such that they cannot be matched by any other Nabi. Every word and action is recorded for us to read.
Despite the great status Rasullullah ﷺ held, Rasullullah ﷺ was humble. For example in his ﷺ dua when he was in Arafat he said
“ اللهم إنك تسمع كلامي ، وترى مكاني ، وتعلم سري وعلانيتي ، لا يخفى عليك شيء من أمري ، أنا البائسالفقير ، المستغيث المستجير ، الوجل المشق ، المقر المعترف بذنبي
O Allah, You know my speech and behold my situation. You know my secret and open matters. None of my affairs is concealed from You. And I am the miserable, needy, suppliant, succor-seeking, fearful and anxious person who confesses his sins. (Part of a longer dua)
When a person has Ma’rifah (recognition and awareness of Allah ﷻ) then nothing else matters.
Once you have done a good action then always think ‘o Allah i did it to the best of my ability. I know there are definitely many mistakes in my action. I dont know of your acceptance of my action please accept it’
We should pray:
أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْكَ لاَ أُحْصِي ثَنَاءً عَلَيْكَ أَنْتَ كَمَا أَثْنَيْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ
a'udhu bika minka, la uhsi thana'an 'alayka, Anta kama athnayta 'ala nafsika
I seek refuge in You from You. I cannot praise You enough; You are as You have praised Yourself)
Rasullullah ﷺ was a perfect person, despite this he was humble. If we show humility, Allah ﷻ will have mercy on us despite all of our sins.
Once musa عليه السلام and his companions were making dua but the dua was not being accepted. Revelation came from Allah ﷻ explaining that there was an attendee due to whose sins the dua was not being accepted. If he leaves the dua will be accepted. So an announcement was made that whoever this person is must leave. The person made dua quietly, “O Allah, I am definitely sinful. I dont want to be embarrassed“ he started crying and was forgiven. Shortly after this the dua of the gathering was accepted. Musa عليه السلامasked Allah ﷻ why if no-one had left the gathering, the dua was still accepted. Allah ﷻtold Musa عليه السلام that your dua was accepted due to this person and his humility.
Humility is vital. Whenever we pray quran or do any good action, we should always say
O Allah this is from Your mercy.
If a person learns to say this that ‘O Allah accept this action from Your mercy and forgive the mistakes in my action’, with this humility Allah will accept him into Jannah.
Allah ﷻ likes humility. Allah ﷻ does not like pride.
May Allah ﷻ give us the ability to surrender to Him before we die.
May Allah ﷻ grant us the ability to practise on everything that has been said. Āmīn
