Short summary of the durood majlis: Abu Ayyub Ansaari Radiyallahu'Anhu reports: "We were once present in the assembly of Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam. Food was brought to him. 1 did not observe any food that had so much barakah at the beginning and at the end of which there was no barakah left in the food. We therefore asked Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam reason?. He replied: 'In the beginning we all recited 'Bismillah' before we began eating. Then someone in the end joined us, and did not recite ''Bismillah'. The shaytan ate with him"'.
Once in Darul Uloom Deoband food was cooked for a huge gathering coming to visit. After a while they found out that many more thousands of people where coming than what they had estimated. They went to inform Haji Imdadullah RA of the problem at hand. He gave them his shawl and said cover the food, and take it out without looking at it. The food was constantly taken out. After everyone had eaten, the food was uncovered and it was as though no-one had taken any food out. i.e it hadn't decreased.

Khatima bil Khair is to die with the kalima on your lips, but if someone isn't able to speak, like he dies in his sleep, then if he had recited the kalima before sleeping, he will have khatima bil khair.
When you leave the house, recite the dua. InshaAllah, if you die before returning, then you will have khatima bil khair. The last action is counted.
A body of a person after he has passed away is washed with warm water, this is because: 1- More dirt is washed off with warm water than with cold water 2- Respect the body, even though the person is dead, as long as the body is infront of you, respect the body.
If you have waswasa, just remember Allah SWT constantly and inshaAllah it will go away. Create the connection with Allah by remembering Allah SWT. Remember to recite the dua when eating, if you forget then recite the dua when forgetting to recite.
The pious people are such that as soon as they start eating they recite bismillah. They have achieved a lot of barakah in their life because of this.
May Allah give us enough understanding to build a connection with the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam in every action.
If you recite the masnoon dua for each and every act, you will create an amazing connection with the prophet sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and die with khatima bil khair. Hadhrat Gangohi RA's sandals would stay in the bathroom. He would enter the toilet with his left foot, but on top of the sandal so he wouldn't wear the left sandal first. Then he would wear the right sandal, then the left. So that he would be able to follow the sunnah by entering the toilet with the left foot and wearing the sandal with his right foot. At the ending of his life he lost his sight, but it became such a habit, he would still do this himself.
This is how the pious got their status, by following the sunnah in everything May Allah give us tawfiq.
